1:23pm: This is a brand-new blog, and this is the first real post. If you see any other posts as of July 21, 2026, they are just placeholder text so the website doesn’t look like complete trash.
I’m curious to see if I can drive traffic here by writing about the things I’m interested in like web design, guitar gear, 3D printing, toys, collectibles, and comic books. You know, all the stuff nerds love.
Where things stand today: I’m running a fresh install of a WordPress theme that I had Claude.ai create for me, based on a web app I made not too long ago called MOOPS. I basically took the stylesheet from the web app, uploaded it to Claude, and said, “Make me a WordPress theme…” It wasn’t quite that simple, but that was pretty much the initial prompt.
Anyway, back to this site. I installed this on a PHP / MySQL web host: nothing extravagant. I just set up Google Analytics moments ago, and as of right now, there’s zero traffic. I will continue to follow up over the next three months with updates on how picking up organic SEO traffic is going.
I’m also about to install the Yoast SEO plugin and see where things go from there.
1:43pm: I just installed and activated Yoast SEO. I ran through the first-time configuration and just clicked all the buttons it said to. I realize that I don’t have any social media and it’s asking me for an organization logo in a 1:1 ratio format and a OG image, which I’m yet to tackle. I have a 2:00pm work call coming up, so I’ll be right back.
July 22, 2026 at 1:37pm: Update! I just installed and configured MailPoet so that I can send automatic emails to subscribers. Of course, there are zero subscribers as of now. Also, feel free to click on any of these links on this website; I have ZERO affiliate links or tracking software or ads whatsoever. I also don’t have a clue if I can or want to monetize this website…unless you want to hire me 😉. July 22, 2026 at 10:55pm: I feel like I could sit here forever thinking about what else I need to add to this initial setup. As the day comes to an end, I realize I’m practically proving the saying, “Perfection is the enemy of progress” (which I think was Winston Churchill). Therefore, I’m calling this post officially DONE. I’m sure there will be plenty of updates to come!ll be continuous updates to this blog to come.
